Registration is now open for the Ontario Environment Industry Association (ONEIA) annual Environment Industry Day (EID) – held this year on Wednesday, November 14, 2018!
With a new government at Queen’s Park and a host of new MPPs from all sides of the political spectrum, this is an important time for Ontario’s environment companies to engage with our legislative representatives. This year’s theme is “Environment and Entrepreneurship: Driving Ontario businesses of tomorrow.”
We know that Ontario is Canada’s environmental business powerhouse. According to a provincial study, “Ontario’s cleantech sector consists of over 5,000 companies, employs approximately 130,000 individuals, and generates about $19.8 billion in annual revenues.” In a world eager to purchase our expertise and products and invest in our companies, it’s time for Ontario to take its environmental business advantage to the next level with smart, fact-based policies that let these environmental entrepreneurs do what they do best: solve problems, serve clients, and create jobs.
